Bogota

Sunday night our dinner was a great success...we had Prosciutto wrapped green apples, Mac N Cheese w/ hot dog cut up in it, and boiled corn on the cob. Besides accidently using some sort of non melting cheese/butter hybrid instead of regular butter in the mac it was all good. Even that didn´t fuck up the taste, it was just confusing.

Monday we layed around in the morning and ate leftovers (and I found a bagel ahhh deliciousness! they are very hard to find here) in the early afternoon but finally got our butts in gear and took the metro down to a cable car thing that went up the side of a mountain. It was so cool. You could see for miles and miles and see the whole city and towards of the top we went through some sweet shanty towns and I took lots of pictures. We went down on the cable like halfway and then walked the rest. Anton got a really yummy meat on a stick that had a potato and a pita bread thing that was so retardedly good.

That night we ate a pizza and Anton found ranch and was weeping with joy and he had some beers and I had some boxed wine and it was good times. We talked for awhile to this Italian guy named Francesco and this WASTED colombian 54 year old guy that had been at the hostel for a month but claimed to have 23 Million Dollar and wanted to find woman to love him for not his money and told us he was the devil and then proceeded to read our hands. Anton was going to live to be 87, but then the guy dropped it to 72 later for unexplained reasons. Probably because he was wasted and kept telling Anton he was going to STEAL HER. I am going to live to like 78 or something like that. He was all nervous when I asked him to keep going on the hand reading because Anton ran upstairs and he was like "Oh don´t want to make boyfriend jealous!"...yeah...he´s really concerned.

Tuesday we were planning on leaving in the morning but once more we were too lazy and layed around, ate some more pizza (I found popcorn, mmm) and then we took a night bus to Bogota. On the way to the bus terminal we saw a dude pissing off the overpass and the cab drive was BUMPING queen. Very amusing.

Now we´re in Bogota. Bogota is even colder than Medellin, we just got here this morning on an overnight bus and slept
all day (difficult to sleep on cramped ass bus) and now we´ve ventured out of our hotel and are using the internet before we go eat and explore. Our hotel is alright, it has hot water in a private bathroom, double bed, and a tv which is good. We got it for $35,000 Pesos (like 18 bucks) which is pretty good considering the few hostels we went to before were trying to charge us $38,000 for a single bed, no private bathroom, and no tv. Suckers.

Time to eat, I´m getting in trouble.
